Sudipto Sastri is a renowned astrologer, educator, and researcher, acclaimed for his expertise in Vedic Astrology, Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP), and Vastu Shastra. He began formal training in 2000 at Bangiya Pandit Parishad and later joined the Astrological Research Project, Kolkata, earning the title Jyotish Vidya Baridhi and a Ph.D. in Astrology (2013). From 2011, under Prof. P. Roy Chowdhury, he pursued advanced studies in KP Astrology and achieved Jyotish Visharad from KP Stellar Astrology Research Institute (SARI), Chennai. His academic career teaching roles from 2013 – 2023 with various organization as a faculty and guest lecturer. 2022 he founded the South Dumdum Swastik Krishnamurty Astrology & Vastu Research Society. His research and writings have been published in leading journals such as Jyotish Siddhanta, Vagyo Kantha, KP e-Zine, Astro Vega E-magazine and KP Year Book and many more journals. Prof. Sastri has also been honoured with over 20 awards related to Astrology and Vastu Shastra, recognizing his outstanding contributions in the field. Doctor Sastri was awarded the Jyotish Bhushan by the Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage in 2017. And in 2018, he was awarded the Global Achievers Award by the Astrological Research Project and in 2025 “Sikha Ratna” awarded by the Institute of Oriental Studies and Research at the same time “Maha-Mahopadhyay” awarded by the Vedvani Foundation Trust.
